Casserole cookware?

I have just bought a cast iron non-stick casserole dish with a glass lid. It came with no instructions re cooking. I have not had a cookware item like this before and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this can be used on the stovetop as well as in the oven for baking. Many thanks!

If it’s cast iron it should be OK for browing meat on a stove top prior to baking ,I’d be reluctant to try porcelain even if it rate so
I’d add a small quanty of oil for Browning though even if it’s “non-stick”
